Overview

Parents work in partnership with a learning consultant and their child to provide, support, and nurture a learning environment at home, in the community, and at the Learning Centre.

Parent roles and responsibilities include:

  • facilitate the completion of learning activities at home
  • work with their child at home on a regular and consistent basis
  • participate in scheduled Student Learning Plan conferences
  • maintain regular contact with the learning consultant
  • ensures their child’s regular attendance
  • share evidence of learning (3 end of term portfolios)
  • complete check-ins and directed projects
